In June 2020, vocational school teachers in Lower Saxony and Bremen were surveyed on the topic of “artificial intelligence in vocational education and training”. The overall aim of the online survey was to get a first picture of the role artificial intelligence plays currently and for the future in vocational training in the region of Lower Saxony/ Bremen. It was of interest to find out what actually takes place at vocational schools in the context of AI as well as the individual opinions and assessments of vocational school teachers on the topic of AI in general and in vocational schools. The results presented here reflect an initial interim status and do not claim to be representative. Nevertheless, the data show tendencies in how vocational school teachers perceive and evaluate AI.
